川瀬健山

川瀬健山（かわせ けんざん）は、京都に拠点を置く京人形の頭師です。「頭師」とは、人形の頭部を専門に制作する職人のことで、人形の表情や品格を左右する重要な役割を担います。川瀬健山は、この道一筋に研鑽を積み、特に繊細で美しい表情を持つ頭（かしら）で知られています。

Ohashi Ippo's "Rider General" Doll

This doll, featuring a warrior riding a horse, is characterized by the dignified yet charming expression on its face, crafted by Kawase Ken-zan. The doll's graceful and beautiful appearance is highlighted by the armor, which transitions from white to red in a tiered lacing pattern, and the elegant white crepe horse. The piece evokes the image of a young lord on his first campaign.

About the Artisans

Ohashi Ippo

Ohashi Ippo is a master artisan of traditional Kyoto dolls based in Kyoto. He is particularly renowned for his expertise in the field of "Yusoku Kyo-ningyo," which meticulously recreates the elegant court culture of ancient times. His work is based on "Yusoku Kojitsu"―ancient knowledge concerning court rituals and costumes. Using this knowledge, Ohashi Ippo creates dolls that accurately reproduce the appearance of Heian-period court nobles. His works are known for their refined technique and graceful, dignified beauty, making them a popular choice for those seeking a family heirloom to be passed down through generations.

Kawase Ken-zan

Kawase Ken-zan is a "Kashira-shi," or master head-maker, of Kyoto dolls. A Kashira-shi specializes in creating the doll's head, playing a crucial role in determining its expression and elegance. Kawase Ken-zan has dedicated his life to this craft and is known for creating heads with particularly delicate and beautiful expressions.

大橋弌峰

大橋弌峰（おおはし いっぽう）は、京都を拠点とする京人形の伝統工芸士です。特に、古式ゆかしい宮廷文化を忠実に再現する「有職京人形」の分野で知られています。

有職故実に基づいた人形づくりを行っています。

「有職故実（ゆうそくこじつ）」とは、古くから伝わる宮廷の儀式や装束に関する知識のこと。大橋弌峰は、この知識を基に、平安時代の公家と同じ姿形を正確に再現した人形を制作しています。

大橋弌峰の作品は、その精緻な技術と雅やかで格調高い美しさから、「家宝として代々受け継いでいける人形」として多くの人に選ばれています。
